26 Mar Indices: Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.08% in a weak market
Coforge Ltd.(up 1.22 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.72 per cent), Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent), MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.54 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.08 per cent at 37676.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 12.06 points at 23656.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 124.09 points at 77893.1.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Zomato, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of AB Infrabuild, Cura Tech, TCPL Packaging, Shaily Engg Plastics and Chambal Fertilisers hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Kesoram Inds., Nxtdigital, Shrem InvIT, Cybermate Info and Dhanvarsha Finvest hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
