NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Gyscoal Alloys(up 17.81%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 780.57 points down at 80911.41, while the 50-share index, NSE was 252.25 points down at 24635.95.
In the Nifty50 index, 6 stocks traded in the green, while 44 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as National Fittings, Reliable Ventures India, Mayur Leather, Onesource Ideas Ven and Scoda Tubes hit their fresh 52-week high, while Archana Software, Bluspring Enterprises Ltd., Digitide Solutions Ltd., Pulsar International and IGC Industries touched their new 52-week low during the session.
