30 May Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.37%
Shares of Canara Bank(up 3.64 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 3.44 per cent), Bank of Baroda(up 2.6 per cent), State Bank of India(up 1.88 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.8 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.74 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.34 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.37 per cent up at 55749.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 82.9 points at 24750.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 182.01 points at 81451.01.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 7 ended in the green, while 43 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, Eternal and FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Lumax Auto Tech, Reliance Power, Shaily Engg Plastics, BSE and CCL Products hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Signpost India, Career Point, Navkar Builders, Borana Weaves and Capri Global hit their fresh 52-week lows.
