Adani Green shares in focus after posting 24% YoY gain in Q4 profit

Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) will be in focus on Tuesday after the company reported a 24% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit for the March quarter, reaching Rs 383 crore compared to Rs 310 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue for Q4FY25 stood at Rs 3,073 crore, up 22% from Rs 2,527 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

However, on a sequential basis, net profit declined 19% from Rs 474 crore in Q3FY25, while revenue increased by 31% from Rs 2,340 crore. The company also earned Rs 214 crore in other income, bringing total revenue for the quarter to Rs 3,278 crore, up from Rs 2,636 crore in Q3FY25 and Rs 2,841 crore in Q4FY24.

For the full financial year, AGEL’s revenue grew 23% year-on-year to Rs 9,495 crore. EBITDA for FY25 rose 22% to Rs 8,818 crore, according to its exchange filing.

Shares of the company fell 48% and underperformed its sector by 42% in the past year. Meanwhile, the stock has fallen 67% in the last three months. Adani Green Energy has worse 1-year returns than Sensex, Nifty50, Sector, and Industry.


Adani Green Energy, established in 2015, is a largecap company with a market capitalization of Rs 1,49,057.46 crore. It operates in the power sector. The company is one of India’s largest renewable energy companies, with a current project portfolio totaling 21,953 MW.
